From climate ambition to implementation: last week, #UNIZA took part in the #CapaCITIES Consortium Meeting in Torino, Italy, held alongside the Torino@Cities Mission Conference.
Representing UNIZA, #GhadirPourhashem joined experts, policymakers, and project partners from across Europe to explore effective pathways for turning climate ambitions into tangible actions at the city level. Discussions focused on mission-oriented innovation, national support platforms, capacity building, stakeholder engagement, and approaches to accelerating urban climate transitions.
The event also provided valuable opportunities to connect with leading European initiatives, including #DrivingUrbanTransitions (#DUT), #NetZeroCities, #NewEuropeanBauhaus, and Adaptation Hubs, strengthening collaboration within the growing ecosystem supporting climate-neutral and smart cities.
A recurring message throughout the meeting was clear: successful urban transformation requires strong partnerships, shared learning, and recognition of the multiple social, economic, and environmental benefits that climate action can deliver.
Many thanks to the CapaCITIES consortium partners and the local organizers for creating an inspiring environment for dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
