We were honored to present our ongoing research and international projects at The George Washington University. As part of his Fulbright Visiting Scholar program, Dr. Tibor Petrov from ERAdiate+ delivered a seminar on May 21 showcasing Slovakia’s growing role in international research, innovation, and sustainable urban development.
The presentation highlighted impactful European research projects and initiatives currently implemented at the University of Žilina, including SPINE, RETIME, and the PIONEER Alliance, showcasing how digital tools, smart mobility solutions, and interdisciplinary partnerships are shaping the future of sustainable urban transformation.
Dr. Petrov also shared ongoing research on energy-efficient Pedestrian-to-Infrastructure (P2I) communication systems and data-informed modeling of energy consumption in smartphone-based Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS).
Special thanks to Prof. Samer Hamdar of The George Washington University for hosting the seminar and supporting this academic exchange and to everyone who joined the discussion and contributed to a valuable exchange of ideas between researchers from Slovakia and the United States.
